Come spend Sunday afternoon, March 19th, with us as we go behind the scenes with the Lyric Opera then walk around the corner to Studios Inc and meet several of artists in their studios.

The afternoon begins at 2 o’clock at the Frost Arts Building, 712 East 18th Street. The Lyric Opera Artist in Residence Series presents American Voices, where a group of their singers present favorite songs by American composers. We’ll also tour the facility which houses the sets, costumes, and offices of the company and you’ll meet the singers too.

We’ll then walk around the block to the Studios Inc, 1708 Campbell, where we’ll first visit the Torn Label Brewery Co, housed in the same space and taste a sampling of their craft beers as we enjoy our catered reception by Howard’s. We’ll view a selection of current and former resident artists artwork. Then we’ll proceed to the current exhibit of new works of art and meet several of the current artists in residence. Patty Carroll, Jill Downen, Hy Young Shin and Debra Smith will greet us in their studios and show us their current works in progress.
