No August Event, But Something Important to Do
The Arts Alive schedule of events typically “goes dark” in August because most of the area’s performing arts venues have ended their seasons and because the Board needs a well-deserved month off from planning and executing stellar monthly events for you.
However, in August, Arts Alive has an opportunity for you to be part of the Kauffman Performing Arts Center’s future. In 2010, Arts Alive made a 5-year $2,500.00 pledge to the Center’s Seat Naming Campaign, which helps fund the Center’s operating endowment.. This means that a seat in the Muriel Kauffman Theatre will have a small brass plaque honoring Arts Alive.
During the month of August through Labor Day, Arts Alive will accept tax-deductible donations to our $2,500.00 pledge. Your PayPal contributions will be made in $10.00 (plus convenience fee) increments. If you would like to contribute $30.00 to our Center pledge fund, you would buy 3 units/reservations/tickets (3 x $10.00). Or, if you’d rather, you would make 3 separate $10.00 transactions.
The Kansas City metropolitan area is being given a gift worth several hundred million dollars where we and future generations will enjoy unparalleled music, dance and theatre performances. As a valued member of Arts Alive, would you please join us in showing our organization’s gratitude and support for the Kauffman Performing Arts Center?
All it takes is a small gift from you joined with other small gifts, and we’re there!
PS: The fall schedule is coming soon! Check back soon and (hint, hint) maybe, just maybe an event at the Performing Arts Center is one of them!
